America's Most Popular Unisex Names Revealed In New Study

A new study by one of the Internet's leading baby name websites reveals the most popular unisex names current in America. Using official government data, the Baby Names Garden study shows the change in unisex names over the last ten years, the names which have been added or dropped, and today's most popular unisex names.

Wilton, CT (PRWEB) March 21, 2007 -- The most popular unisex name in America today, based on the latest data from the Social Security Administration, is Jordan. It is the only androgynous name to be included in the Social Security Administration's Top 100 baby names for both boys and girls.

This is just one of the findings in a brand new study from one of the internet's most popular baby name sites, Baby Names Garden.

The editorial staff of Baby Names Garden performed a careful study of androgynous, or unisex, baby names in the United States, measuring the popularity of names shared by boys and girls, and comparing changes between 1995 and 2005. (The latest date for which official data is available, from the U.S. Social Security Administration).

True or False?

Rounding out the top 3 unisex names, after Jordan, come Alexis and Angel. Both names are popular with boys and girls.
