Recognizing Excellence in Communications: IABC/Delaware Accepts Entries for 2007 First State Awards

IABC/Delaware is accepting entries through April 6 for the First State Awards, which recognize the important contributions communicators make in Delaware. For more information and an application, visit http://delaware.iabc.com

Wilmington, DE (PRWEB) March 22, 2007 -- The Delaware chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators will accept entries for the 2007 First State Awards through April 6. The First State Awards recognize excellence in communications in Delaware.

"The First State Awards recognize the important contributions communicators make to Delaware's corporations, government organizations, small businesses, agencies and consultancies," said Dan Tipton, president of IABC/Delaware.

Entries for the First State Awards will be accepted in 10 categories:

- Investor/Shareholder Relations
- Marketing Communication
- Public Relations/Issues Management
- Customer Communications
- Employee/Member Communication
- Electronic and Interactive Communication
- Audiovisual
- Publications
- Writing
- Photography

Projects must have been completed and/or implemented or published in 2006 with measurable results. Entries will be judged by another IABC chapter using criteria developed for the international Gold Quill communications awards. In 2006, only five entries met this standard.
