Diversion Media, a leading publisher of broadband video channels, announced today that it will distribute its content through Joost's free global video distribution platform.

Diversion will launch Travelistic, a video channel for travelers, and Snowvision, a snowboard video channel, in April 2007.

"Joost is a great service and a great environment for content," said Diversion Media founder and CEO Nicholas Butterworth. "They are a perfect partner for our approach, addressing niche audiences with vertical brands." As the former CEO of SonicNet and MTV Interactive Group, Mr. Butterworth has been a pioneer in new models for content on the internet since 1994.

Travelistic, launched on the web in October 2006, offers over 2300 short-form travel videos, covering hundreds of destinations around the world. Travelistic's original series, The Map, features Liza de Guia, former Plum TV reporter. Travelistic was named to Hitwise's "Fast Mover" list for February 2007 and is already ranked among the top 400 travel sites.

Snowvision, launched in February 2007, offers daily snowboard videos including tricks, how-to's, interviews with top riders, and event coverage. Snowvision's partners include top DVD producers, resorts, and manufacturers from the snowboarding community.

In addition to Travelistic and Snowvision, Diversion will use Joost to distribute future channels in the Diversion Media network.

"Diversion Media's niche programming is a great fit for Joost, and will provide our viewers with engaging content focused on their diverse interests," said Yvette Alberdingk Thijm, executive vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Joost. "We are excited to partner with Diversion Media to extend their reach to a wider audience as they continue to add content to the Joost platform."

Currently available in limited beta, Joost combines the best of TV and the best of the Internet by offering viewers a unique, TV-like experience enhanced with the choice, control and flexibility of Web 2.0. Joost is the first online, global TV distribution platform, bringing together advertisers, content owners and viewers in an interactive, community-driven environment. Joost can be accessed with a broadband Internet connection and offers broadcast-quality content to viewers for free.
