The medical device industry is a multi-billion dollar business. Many everyday operations and medical procedures use devices that were originally devised by doctors. But doctors have little time to deal with the long and complex procedure of bringing those ideas to market. Often, through poor understanding and poor negotiation, they end up making little money from their ideas.

A4M provides a much needed link between the doctors, who invent the devices, and the multi-national medical companies, who make and sell them.

"Doctors are always looking to improve medical procedures," says Steve Bell, co-founder of A4M and former manager at Johnson & Johnson. "And the medical companies are always looking for exciting new devices to develop and market. A4M is a full-service professional agency for doctors to pitch their ideas to. We evaluate the idea, undertake all necessary legal work and then ensure that their ideas are sold to the right medical company, in the right way, for the right price."

A4M has a wealth of experience and contacts in the medical industry and within the medical community. They recognise that medical companies have long been waiting for such an agency to help improve their efficiency.

A number of high-profile doctors have already presented their ideas to A4M and the company is currently in negotiation with select multi-national medical companies on their behalf. Already they have signed deals for exciting new products that are under development.

As Bell summarises, "The goal of A4M is to do for doctors and medical companies what Mark McCormack and IMG did for sportsmen and their sponsors. We aim to put together the right people, ideas and companies to make the whole system more efficient and professional."
