Abrams will be presenting a technical brief on "Video Content Analysis with Effective Response" that will address the integration of video surveillance into 9-1-1 and Emergency Operations Centers (EOC).
For the seventh year, the IEEE Conference will bring together expertise from different sectors of the homeland security industry. This event is a gathering of persons from industries and governmental agencies, such as: Massachusetts Port Authority, Integrated Infrastructure Analytics, Advanced Technology Integration, and the United State Air Force.
Abrams has spoken at homeland security events previously, and is an expert in the field of surveillance technologies. His presentation, "Video Content Analysis with Effective Response," will describe a novel system that links analytic events with command center data wall camera pop-up on alarm, extended notification tools that send multi-modal alerts, acknowledgment tracking, 911 computer aided dispatch (CAD), and geo-coded mapping tools that give operators a tactical map. The usability of these tools will be discussed and how to provide situational awareness and a common operating picture to operators and first responders.
This presentation will also be available in the form of a whitepaper after the IEEE Conference. Steve McDowall, senior vice president of product engineering, as well as Abrams will present their thoughtful research on the topic of "Video Content Analysis with Effective Response".
