Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 24, 2007 -- Reader Views proudly announces the 1st Place winner in the 2007 Reader Views Literary Awards -- Nonfiction Memoir/Biography/Autobiography Category. Finalists and semi-finalists were chosen in March '07 from an impressive showing of books from across the country, with judging conducted by a panel of Reader Views reviewers, all professionals in their field.

"A Speck in God's Eye: A Compelling Memoir -- Heartwarming and Humorous" (ISBN 978-0595379507, iUniverse, 2006) by brother/sister writing team Lola Bollom Schroeder and William Bollom is a joint memoir; a celebration of family, winning over adversity and the joy of discovering the beauty of our world -- this little speck in the infinite universe.
Spring Brook cottage was the very essence of authors William Bollom and Lola Bollom Schroeder's childhood -- not the building itself, but all that it encompassed. Located in an inlet off Lake Butte des Morts, Wisconsin, "The Old Shanty" was a place of reverence for the Bollom family -- a place where values were shared and the world offered up its bounty. Their touching collection of stories in "A Speck in God's Eye" reveals how well-laid foundations support us through life's rough seas.

Lola Bollom Schroeder has won numerous awards as a creative writer and is a self-taught artist. Her painting of Spring Brook cottage is the front cover art of "A Speck in God's Eye." Lola lives with her husband on their farm in east central Wisconsin. William Bollom is a retired university professor, and has written numerous articles for the Oshkosh Northwestern. He has worked and lived in numerous countries, and currently resides in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
