Elizabeth "Libby" Thompson, RN, MSN, has been named Editor-in-Chief of OR Nurse 2007 (http://www.lww.com/product/?1933-3145&st=prweb). The new bimonthly professional journal is published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (http://www.lww.com/?st=prweb), part of Wolters Kluwer Health.

Thompson is currently a Nursing Education Specialist in the Division of Surgical Services - Department of Nursing at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she develops competency curriculums and leads educational programs in perioperative nursing. Prior to this she worked as a Core Supervisor at Mayo Clinic, and as a staff nurse in various areas including Infusion Therapy, Cardiovascular Surgery, Surgical Listing, and General Surgery.
