Rainbow Sports Introduces New Online Printing And Designing Capabilities
Kentucky-based Rainbow Sports has introduced a new set of online tools to deliver its down-home personal printing and embroidery services to businesses and individuals throughout the United States.

"The new capabilities position us between the mass online printing companies that offer little to no customer service and the traditional print shop," says Phillip Carr, President of Kentucky based Rainbow Sports.
Using the new 'Design it Yourself' feature, clients can upload their own photos, images, logos, or other artwork and have them professionally printed by Rainbow Sports on a variety of different shirt and hat styles. To handle the transfer issues normally associated with large image files, the company has set up an FTP site with unlimited bandwidth for client use.
"The new process will make it simple for wholesale clients with prepared art to place orders quickly. For clients with smaller orders that may be new to the process of printing, they benefit from seeing a preview of the finished product with their design. But in our opinion, the biggest benefit to any client is that when they have questions, they can call and speak to a human," says Carr.
Carr says that unlike larger online print companies that often subcontract the printing work to printers throughout the country, every order place through Rainbow Sports is printed in house. "The person you talk to when you call with questions can physically relay a message the person doing the printing. We believe that a more personal service and communication results in higher quality work and far fewer errors."
The fact that Rainbow Sports is a traditional printer with online capabilities gives internet customers more options in the way of design creation. Those with a vision of the finished product but with no resources to create the art can send hand-drawn concepts to Rainbow Sports artists by email that will develop professional designs that are optimized for printing.
"We're very excited about the launch of our new online capability. When we started in business almost 25 years ago, no one had ever even considered the possibilities of the internet. I'm just so pleased that we can now bring the personal service that the people of Kentucky have grown to depend on to even more people," says Carr.
