Share Article

Honeymoon couples including celebrities are going to Fiji seeking a private, romantic paradise to wed and start their lives together.

Honeymooner's Review Guide has the latest honeymoon reviews of Fiji to help couples choose the ideal honeymoon resort. Celebrities such as Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and The Bachelorette's Trista Rehn are choosing Fiji for their romantic honeymoons. Young women all across America are dreaming of Turtle Island as the perfect way to spend the first days of being newlyweds. Since The Blue Lagoon was released in 1980, Fiji has captured the romantic hearts of couples and became a hotspot for honeymoons, romantic vacations or just fun getaways.

A lot of people imagine Hawaii, the Caribbean or Tahiti as the perfect honeymoon destination, but Honeymooner's Review Guide has found that Fiji rates high for tropical honeymoon locations. Fiji has 330 islands, some with private resorts and others totally deserted. When imagining a place with white sandy beaches, palm trees, beautiful coral reefs and seclusion, Fiji fits the profile perfectly. Along with this ambiance comes some of the best island hospitality. The Fijian people are always friendly, saying "Bula" (hello) at every turn, going out of their way to make everyone feel welcome.

For those with deep pockets, Fiji offers luxury island resorts that exemplify the island's exquisite beauty in relative seclusion. These resorts, like Turtle Island Resort and Qamea Resort and Spa, are treasures in the South pacific, hence why they are the fantasy of a tropical island honeymoon.

One couple who reviewed a Fiji island resort on Honeymooner's Review Guide said, "We arrived on Tokoriki Island after a fun 2 hour boat transfer, and we were greeted by friendly staff singing us the welcome Bula Song, fruit cocktails, cool peppermint scented face towels and shell lays - we felt truly special. All the staff were truly amazing, ever so friendly and always greeted us with a huge smile. Our Bure was heavenly, it looked like it bounced right off the page of a first class travel magazine. The attention to detail in the decor was impeccable - we could not pick fault. We felt like we were all alone on this beautiful tropical island paradise. Our room was decorated daily with fresh flowers, and we loved watching the sunset from our daybeds and hammocks - the beach was only steps away from our back door."

Of course, this dream honeymoon has a price tag that exceeds many honeymoon budgets. Many young couples getting married have to pay for their own honeymoon. Luckily, Fiji offers a wide range of accommodation prices. To get the best of both worlds, couples can stay at a resort on one of the main islands, book affordable 4-star accommodations and visit private islands during the day. A couple reviewed a Fiji mainland resort on Honeymooner's Review Guide and said, "It's easy to imagine where you want to spend your honeymoon - soft sandy beaches, tropical breezes, oceans of blue and turquoise, but when you actually look at all of the many places that offer this, the choosing is very difficult. All we knew was we wanted somewhere exotic, somewhere different than anyone we knew. Fiji was a far place to choose, but if we didn't do it now, would we ever be able to? So, we priced various resorts all over Fiji and came upon a very reasonable 4 star all-inclusive resort at Bequa Lagoon. This was perfect for us in many ways - from romance, to seclusion and quiet restful days to incredible diving and snorkeling. Being avid divers, this was the perfect blend of all that we wanted in a honeymoon." These resorts aren't as private but if flexible, a Fiji honeymoon is possible on almost any budget and couples can still get the great private island experience for about $60 per person for a day!

With over 300 islands to visit, there are tons of excursions. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride in the morning to one of the islands and then spend the whole day snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, eating, drinking and enjoying time alone. For honeymoon couples who dream of the luxury of Turtle Island but can't fork over $1500 per night, don't worry, tropical paradise is a plane ride away. There are many affordable resorts and plenty of opportunities relax on a private island for the day!

Honeymooner's Review Guide reviews destinations and resorts for couples planning destination weddings and honeymoons. Reviews are made both by honeymooners themselves and staff. When resorts are rated and reviewed; the results are posted on the website at:
