Metanor is aggressively pursuing its 2007/08 program at Lac Bachelor which includes:
-- Commencing gold production at its now 100%-owned Lac Bachelor mill complex, and
-- Increasing gold resources to feed, both internally and through additional acquisition.
Since closing its IPO late in 2003, Metanor has assembled a portfolio of 3 mineral properties in Québec and an option on another in Sudbury, Ontario.
The Lac Bachelor Property is located in the Val D'Or area of Quebec and includes a former 500 ton per day mill which is presently being refurbished. Mineral resources have been documented (2005) totaling 300,222 ounces of gold.
In December 2006, Metanor acquired Murgor Resources' 100% interest in the Barry gold deposit roughly 65 kilometers from Lac Bachelor for initial processing at its Lac Bachelor mill. Resources identified as totaling 103,100 ounces gold.
