TPG The Project Group GmbH, the world's leading provider of Microsoft Project add-in products and a Microsoft Premier Project and Gold Certified Partner, today announced that it is extending its product range with the TPG ToolbarCustomizer. The new product enables companies to reduce menus and toolbars down to just the functions that each user really needs. All unnecessary functions can simply be hidden, providing a clearer layout that makes this complex product easier to work with. TPG ToolbarCustomizer is available now from TPG.

"Even in its client version, Microsoft Project includes powerful functionalities. If you add the server, there are even more. But users often only need a few functions in their everyday work," says Johann Strasser, Managing Director and Development Director at TPG. "Users sometimes find that the extensive menus and toolbars are complicated and confusing, and even hinder them in their work. This leads to a lack of acceptance of what are actually good solutions. We heard this comment so often from customers that we decided to do something about it by developing this new product that solves the problem quickly and easily."

The TPG ToolbarCustomizer enables customers to individually reduce menus and toolbars for each user, just leaving the functions they really need. Using a mouse, they quite simply remove all unnecessary elements from menus, sub-menus and toolbars in the Microsoft Project Client. The product can be used in the same way with Microsoft Project Server and third party add-in products. After creating their personalized menus, users save this setting as a view (mode) under a name of their choice. They can also create different views for different needs and toggle between them as necessary. The original view can easily be restored at any time.

Once a view has been created, it can be copied onto other computers with the product installation. This is especially useful in companies where the administrator wants to assign the same settings to each member of staff from a central computer.
