Personal Space Announces Season Five -- Innovative Company Pushes Theatrical Boundaries Further

Leading the charge is Myth America conceived by Artistic Director Stephen Wargo. This world premiere features the writings of Arthur Kopit (Nine, BecauseHeCan), Theresa Rebeck (The Scene, Omnium Gatherum), Israel Horovitz (Line, The Indian Wants the Bronx), Rachel Axler (Archaeology, Smudge), Ian Cohen (Lenny & Lou, Vattago), Brian Dykstra (Clean Alternatives, Hiding Behind Comets), Jason Grote (1001, This Storm is What We Call Progress), Matthew Paul Olmos (Seal Sings its Song, The Vampire Lesson), Julien Schwab (PST's rogerandtom & Nicotine), Saviana Stanescu (Lenin's Shoe, The Inflatable Apocalypse), and Lloyd Suh (Masha No Home, American Hwangap). Myth America is directed by Nicholas Cotz (PST's BecauseHeCan) and Adam Fitzgerald (kef productions) and will play April 14-28, 2007.

In June, PST presents a world premiere musical titled The Divide, based on short works by great American author, Willa Cather. The Divide tells of the dawn of 20th Century America through the stories of two young men, separated by a continent but connected by a shared need to elevate their souls through music and beauty. Tony nominated actress Catherine Cox's adaptation, with songs composed and arranged by David Evans (Children's Letters to God) come together through ensemble storytelling under the direction of Stephen Wargo. The Divide will play June 16-30, 2007.

In the fall comes the American premiere of the British farce The Safari Party, by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls, Our House). In this new spin on a classic genre, three households have agreed to hold a "safari party" - a dinner party where each course is served in a different house. Small town antics breed outrageous lies and class is just a state of mind in this dark comedy set in rural Cheshire, England. Director Nicholas Cotz invites you to join him at the table for a diet of sidesplitting comedy. The Safari Party will play June 16-30, 2007.

In December 2007, PST encores a fifth anniversary production of its own grand, mythological, dark and joyous celebration of Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. Adapted and directed by Artistic Director Stephen Wargo, PST's unique and moving examination of Dickens' words coupled with the soaring songs of the season as arranged by Diane Adams McDowell (Starmites, The Wind in the Willows) returns to our stage from its sold-out production in 2005, which Adrienne Cea of offoffonline called, "A powerful punch of Christmas spirit! [PST tell[s the story the way Dickens meant it to be told." Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' will play December 8-22, 2007.
