Karla Gable, a faculty member in the School of Education at Capella University (, an accredited, fully online university, has been named Distinguished Administrator in Higher Education by the Arizona School Administrators (ASA). She will receive the award at the ASA's annual conference in Tucson, Arizona, on June 14.

Gable received the award for her outstanding service to higher education. A former school assistant superintendent, she has been teaching at Capella since 2001 in the areas of higher education and educational leadership. More than 1,000 teachers, principals, and superintendents have chosen Capella to achieve their master's or doctoral degrees.
