Hanna Morris has been named General Manager of the Point Reyes Hostel in Point Reyes National Seashore, replacing longtime manager Bob Baez.

The Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA has named Hanna Morris its General Manager of the Point Reyes Hostel in Point Reyes National Seashore. Morris has been employed by the Golden Gate Council since 2002, when she was hired as a Hostel Assistant at the Marin Headlands Hostel. She was promoted to Deputy Manager of the Marin Headlands Hostel in 2005.

At the same time, the Council bids farewell to Bob Baez, who served as general manager of the hostel for 26 years.

"Bob will be missed by all the Council staff and the many guests who loved him," said Council Executive Director Barbara Wein. "But we are very excited to see Hanna take the next step in her career with us as the manager of the Point Reyes Hostel. Her previous operations experience and her commitment to the hostelling mission and to environmental sustainability will ensure that Bob's legacy is carried forward."

The Point Reyes Hostel is an Authorized Concessioner of the National Park Service and is the only lodging facility within the Point Reyes National Seashore. The hostel is operated by the Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting intercultural understanding, environmental stewardship, and world peace through travel.
