Honeymooner's Review Guide, a leading honeymoon planning website, just launched its new Honeymooner's Choice Award which is earned only by the best of hotels and resorts providing Excellence and Value.

The Honeymooner's Choice award is based on honeymoon couple's ratings of the hotel and an on-site inspection by one of Honeymooner's Review Guide's trained professionals. "We feel that when engaged couples are looking for the perfect honeymoon resort, they want to hear advice from both sides of the spectrum, other couples and professionals who can personally meet with staff and inspect the facilities. On-site visits also allow for them to gather more detailed and useful information about the resorts and the local area to share with couples deciding on where to marry and/or honeymoon. When you see a hotel denoted with the award, you can be confident that is a good choice for destination and/or honeymoon couples," said Michelle McKenzie, Vice-President of Marketing in charge of the new program.

The Honeymooner's Choice Award signifies excellence in several categories, including: room décor, food quality and service, amenities, activities, cleanliness, service, and romance. The overall award will be for the Best Honeymoon Hotels, but other categories will include: Best Romantic Hotels, Best Affordable Hotels, Best Hidden Gems, Best Destination Wedding Hotels and Best Cruise Ships.

Honeymooner's Review Guide launched their program in March with their first stop Kauai, Hawaii. The Hotels and Resorts have been reviewed and the results are pending with an announcement expected sometime in April. Additional on-site visits are scheduled during 2007. Mrs. McKenzie said, "We are picking the top honeymoon destinations right now. We will only review a resort upon invitation, either made upon our request or by request of the hotel. Hotels that specialize in honeymoons will be eager for us to visit them and we look forward to that opportunity."

Honeymooner's Review Guide is a full-scale honeymoon planning site which includes a hotel and resort search engine. They also survey honeymoon couples and post their hotel reviews for other couples to read. Their website is located at http://www.HoneymoonersReviewGuide.com.
