West Simsbury, CT (PRWEB) April 3, 2007
http://www.07webaward.org - The Web Marketing Association, host of leading web site awards competition WebAwards, released the Internet Standards Assessment Report (ISAR) to help the consulting industry learn to create more effective and engaging web sites.
"As the standard of excellence for web sites continues to increase, consumers (and WebAward judges) are increasingly picky about what they consider to be an effective web site," said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association, Inc. "Consulting groups' biggest assets are their people. The best consulting Web sites are leveraging the talent of their employees by providing thought leadership through articles and corporate blogging."
The WebAwards competition judges consulting web sites on seven criteria that combined create award-winning web sites:
- Ease of use
Consulting web sites are generally in line with overall Web Development, and beat the ISAR Index in 2006.
Consulting sites actually compare very closely to the overall criteria standards, with the exception of the content category.
According to the ISAR study, design and copywriting are consulting web site's strong points although all their criteria scores were tightly grouped in 2006. They tend to have the lowest scores for content.
The 2006 WebAward for Best Consulting web site went to Landor Associates for Landor Associates web site.
Other past winners include:
- 2005 Jack Morton Worldwide for Jack Morton Worldwide's web site
- 2004 Redhead Interactive for Synthesis
- 2003 PRTM Management Consulting for http://www.prtm.com
- 2002 Jack Morton Worldwide for jackmorton.com
