Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 3, 2007
LearningPoint, a provider of e-learning technology solutions, announced today that it has received a $175,000 Transformation Fellowship from Idea Foundry. The Fellowship consists of $100,000 in cash and $75,000 worth of consulting support. The award will be used to accelerate the launch of the company's new rapid e-learning development solution called CollaborateTM.
Collaborate puts the power to build custom e-learning courses into the hands of the average person. By combining simple user-interfaces, a proprietary Knowledge Object Library and web access, Collaborate reinvents custom course creation in the same way that PowerPointTM reinvented custom slide creation.
"I was impressed with the flexibility and ease-of-use of Collaborate" said Jeryl Schreiner, Managing Director of Idea Foundry. "I am very interested in using technology to aid in the sharing of knowledge and see that LearningPoint is poised to bring that capability to the masses." Mike Matesic, Chief Executive Officer of Idea Foundry added "We see great potential for Collaborate to impact the e-learning space and turn LearningPoint into a success story for the region."
"We are very excited to have Idea Foundry on board to help launch Collaborate into the marketplace" said Kevin Orzechowski, President and CEO of LearningPoint. "We see their commitment, as further validation of the direction our company is heading and the potential for us to successfully reinvent the e-learning industry."
