The Kryme Wave is set to hit targets throughout New York and East Coast on 4/18/07. Chatter has been rampant for several months but has reached a frenzy in the last month. While the terror alert level may not be elevated for ordinary citizens, the threat level has reached red at all industry headquarters, radio stations and media outlets as they scramble to figure out how to prevent real hip-hop from resurfacing. Many insiders believe "The Kryme Wave" has the potential to sweep the world with an up-swelling from the bricks to the hills, as people everywhere have been waiting for reality rap to rise once again.
Sources confirm Ruffline Entertainment is planning to release the Kryme Life's debut solo album 4/18/07. "The Kryme Wave" is expected to create havoc in the music industry by representing the streets to the fullest, uncensored and uncorrupted by music executives. At a time when many believe hip-hop has gone soft, Kryme Life's long awaited debut solo album brings the underground to the surface, with hard hitting beats and a realness that cannot be fabricated. East coast reality rap with killer beats and piercing lyrical darts, the album showcases Staten Island style with a universal come up theme, that millions of youth can relate to. Hip-hop without the bling and fake studio gangsta's, "The Kryme Wave" is sure to be one of the years best releases, and will leave everyone salivating for an encore.
After been featured on various Wu-family albums over the last ten years, including Ghostface Killahs's "Supreme Clientele", Bobby Digital's "Northstar", Theodore Unit "718", Ghostface Killah and Trife Da God's "Put it on the Line", and Kill Army "Grandaddy Flow", as well as numerous J-Love, and DJ Storm mixtapes, Kryme Life delivers the album that has been brewing within him for years. Listeners are given an intimate view of the soul of a hardcore underground rapper as he struggles from the streets to the top of the game. Long known as a master of wordplay, Kryme shows his range by giving the listener everything from club songs, street bangers, reality tales, and come up jams, to powerful personal explorations. Teaming up with his uncles Triple OG a.ka. Dog Holliday and International Eav, fellow TMF member Tommy Whispers, and newcomer Blizzy Black, "The Kryme Wave" shows the world what street poetry is in its purest form. Recorded and distributed by Ruffline Entertainment LLP. "The Kryme Wave" will be available for shipping worldwide with the help of Cdbaby.com and FYE.com, as well as for permanent download through ITunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Yahoo Music, Emusic, Myspace, Amazon, Daiki Sounds, Security Cast, and almost every other online download store. Later this year fans will get to see the artists and the making of the album in a documentary that has been filmed concurrently. With raw studio footage as well as footage from both NY, and VT., the documentary aims to tell the story of "The Kryme Wave" first hand, in real time. Rather than the usual music documentaries that show artists talking about what was going on during recording, viewers will get to see for themselves. Clips will be put on the ruffline youtube channel along with some street music videos for the fans.
