Pogue's prior experience in nursing includes working as a nursing unit manager at Mi Casa Nursing Center in Mesa, a supervisor of the chemotherapy clinic at Desert Oasis Cancer Center in Casa Grande and as a Inpatient Nursing Director at Gila River Health Care Corp in Sacaton, AZ.
    
She received both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and her Associate's degree from Central Arizona College in Coolidge.
