Parkside Developer Announces Site Beautification Project
Victoria-based developer Aviawest has just completed installation of a new 400-foot fence wrap at the Parkside Victoria Resort & Spa construction site. Aviawest encourages the public to peek in on progress at Parkside through strategically placed cutouts. This stunning banner wraps around the corners of Fairfield, Blanshard and Humboldt.
Victoria, BC (PRWEB) April 1, 2007 -- Whether you visit, work or live in downtown Victoria, you've probably spotted cranes on the horizon. As well as the holes in the bedrock below. Construction isn't a pretty sight, but one savvy developer has changed the 'face' of local site beautification at the corners of Fairfield Road, Blanshard and Humboldt Streets.
"The Parkside fence wrap is a completely new type of signage for Victoria. We've worked closely with City Council to be sure we're setting a high standard for similar projects to come," says Aviawest Director of Marketing, Steve Roper. "We want to encourage the public to peek in on construction and learn about what we're bringing to the downtown community."
"Our staff have been working on design and production of this fence wrap since last summer," says Roper. "We're very proud to finally reveal this larger-than-life banner to the city and help improve the downtown experience for everyone."
While the fence wrap is unique, it won't be the first art to adorn Parkside's fences. In the fall of 2005, staff at Aviawest partnered with the non-profit Trackside Art Gallery to bring youth art to a prominent location in the downtown core. "Community enhancement is as important as site beautification for us. We are always looking for opportunities to improve or give back to all communities we operate in," says Roper.
