Hunting The American Terrorist To Hit The Street And Bookstores in May

Terrorist Book revealing FBI internal operation and previously unpublished information to be in bookstores in May

(PRWEB) April 3, 2007 -- Hunting The American Terrorist, the long waited and much anticipated book dealing with the inside operations of the FBI and its pursuit of the most notorious and elusive American terrorists will be on bookshelves in book stores across America in May, 2007. The book, published by History Publishing Company, LLC, is co-authored by Terry D. Turchie, former Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI's Counterterrorism Division and Dr. Kathleen Puckett, Clinical Psychologist, former Special Agent and a founding member of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Program.

Hunting The American Terrorist is the exciting, untold story of the rule-changing pursuit of the most elusive and dangerous American terrorist in the annals of the FBI - Theodore Kaczynski - and the subsequent chase of Eric Rudolph, the Olympic bomber. The book begins after sixteen years of frustration by the FBI and its failure to capture Mr. Kaczynski using traditional investigative means. When Mr. Turchie was brought in from counterintelligence to develop a team to pursue him, he enlisted Dr. Puckett and old rules and traditions were put aside. New and fascinating techniques of behavioral analysis were developed on the run and Mr. Kaczynski was captured in just two years. The same strategy drove Eric Rudolph into the woods for five years before his capture.

Following the capture of Eric Rudolph, Mr. Turchie assigned Dr. Puckett, whose psychological expertise was now uniquely compounded by investigative experience dealing with terrorists, to develop a behavioral analysis of the Lone Wolf domestic terrorist. Dr. Puckett found startling similarities in the patterns not only of Mr. Kaczynski and Mr. Rudolph, but Timothy McVeigh as well. For the first time, the reading public will be able to share the findings of that analysis in Hunting The American Terrorist and come to understand first hand, how and why the mind of the Lone Wolf American terrorist works. In this time of great concern about the specter of terrorism, Hunting The American Terrorist (9781933909349) is a timely arrival.
