The Final Cut Pro User Group Network today announced that tickets are available for the Sixth Annual NAB FCPUG Network SuperMeet. This April 18th event takes place during the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas, NV. This much-anticipated event is hosted by Final Cut Pro User Groups from Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Mexico, United Kingdom and more.
Scheduled to appear is legendary film and sound editor Walter Murch, who is presently editing Francis Coppola's new film, "Youth Without Youth" Walter will share details of their tapeless Final Cut Pro workflow with attendees. Also on the agenda will be demos from Blackmagic Design, SmartSound and JVC. Paul Saconne and Richard Townhill of Apple's Final Cut Studio team will also be on stage with the latest from Apple.
Rounding out the evening will be the FCPUG's "World Famous Raffle" with a total value of over $40,000. A Sony V1U Camcorder, 2 Blackmagic Design Decklink Cards, and a Focus Enhancements FS-4Pro HD 60GB DTE Recorder are just three of dozens of prizes that will be handed out.
There will also be 28 vendors just outside the theatre showing off their toys. "Call this a "Mini NAB," states Michael Horton, leader of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group. "Many of these companies will not be on the show floor at NAB and this will be the only place you will see them."
This event takes place Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 6:30PM - 10:00 PM (doors open at 5pm) in the Palazzo Ballroom at the elegant Venetian Hotel on the Las Vegas strip. This event promises to be the largest gathering of Final Cut Pro users, Gurus and digital filmmakers in the world. Tickets are only $15.00 per person and include two raffle tickets.
