Professionals from Procter & Gamble, Masterfoods USA, TricorBraun Inc., and other leading organizations will speak at a new contract packaging conference scheduled for September 10-12 at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare. CP 07: Succeeding with Contract Packaging will focus exclusively on contract packaging challenges and solutions. This educational and networking event is produced by Summit Publishing Company's business magazines Contract Packaging and Packaging World, in cooperation with the Contract Packaging Association.
Benjamin Gordon, Managing Director of BG Strategic Advisors, a global outsourcing and supply chain advisory firm, will be the keynote speaker at CP 07. Gordon's topic, "Trends and Opportunities in the Evolving Co-Packing Arena," will explore the convergence of the contract packaging industry through mergers and acquisitions and the impact this will have on both buyers and sellers of contract packaging services. Complementing this opening address will be a State of the Industry presentation from the Contract Packaging Association.
Other conference topics include a presentation on the trend toward mass customization, delivered by John Helferich, Vice President - University Research, Masterfoods USA. David Elliott, Purchasing Group Manager at Procter & Gamble, will share his expertise in a session entitled "Leveraging Contract Packaging at the First and Second Moments of Truth." Additionally, attendees will discover why lowest price may not mean the best deal as they learn "What Purchasing Managers Should Know About Packaging," presented by Jim Moseley, Executive Vice President at TricorBraun.
CP 07 will also focus on speed-to-market strategies, presented by quick-changeover packaging experts Brian Wagner, Vice President of Packaging & Technology Integrated Solutions, and John Henry, President of Changeover.com. Wagner and Henry will draw on research detailed in the new report: Quick-Changeover Packaging: Dynamics & Surging Growth Opportunities. Ample time to visit tabletop exhibits and to network with colleagues has also been scheduled into the program.
