Top-ranked University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Launches the Chicago GSB Summer Scholars Program

The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, ranked #1 in the most recent ranking of business schools by Business Week, will launch a summer program this year to help college students make the transition to a career.

The Summer Business Scholars Program, which will run from July 22 to August 10, is open to students entering their junior or senior year of college, and students who just graduated who want to set themselves apart from other job seekers, the school announced. Applications are due April 20.
   
During the three-week session students will take courses in marketing, accounting, finance and competitive strategy. Students will also attend a lecture series featuring world-renowned faculty from Chicago GSB and successful alumni of the school. The program also includes site visits to companies and social events.
   
"We've taken the strengths of our MBA program and developed an intensive program for bright, highly-motivated college students and recent college graduates," said Mark Zmijewski, deputy dean of Chicago GSB and senior faculty director of the Summer Business Scholars Program.
   
Classes will be held at the school's Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago. The program includes living accommodations with fellow students in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood near Michigan Avenue, and all meals Monday through Friday.
