Today's marketplace is flooded with high-tech products, each claiming to be the newest, the fastest, or the best. As a result, shopping for any high-tech product, be it a digital camera, a television, or an MP3 player, has become frustrating, overwhelming, and confusing--especially for the less tech-savvy segment of the population. Custom Techknowledgy recognized this fact and decided to create a website to give consumers a free, unbiased method of quickly and easily determining which high-tech products best fit their individual needs.
The site is centered around the TechSelector, a product-selection system designed to sort through the thousands of available products to find the best ones for each consumer. The TechSelector asks a series of simple multiple-choice questions designed to help consumers focus and prioritize their needs. Based on the answers given, the TechSelector finds the products which best fit the consumer's criteria and presents them in an unbiased Product Report. The Report contains key information about each product, including prices and retailers.
Custom Techknowledgy hopes that its website will help those who are confused and frustrated with other online shopping sites and traditional shopping methods. The site aims to clear up much of the mystery surrounding high-tech products by guiding consumers through the selection process, explaining important technical terms and phrases in everyday language, and eliminating biases and sale pitches.
