Diamond Head Crater Celebration on May 19, 2007, Honolulu, HI, tickets on sale now.

Earth, Wind and Fire erupt from inside the Diamond Head Crater on Saturday, May 19 in the #1 music experience of the year. The not-to-be-missed 2007 Diamond Head Crater Celebration follows in the footsteps of last April's very successful celebration that marked the first public performance inside the historic landmark in almost three decades.

Tickets on sale now for the special event, which takes place from 2 p.m. into the evening and will showcase major mainland and Hawaii talents. The day of entertainment includes headlining artists Earth, Wind and Fire, eight-time Grammy Award winners who sold out two performances in the Blaisdell Arena in its last Hawaii engagement and whose 2006-7 tour has been a hit worldwide.

The line-up also showcases the world premiere of Mick Fleetwood's Island Rumours Band. Fleetwood, co-founder of the iconic band, Fleetwood Mac, has a new dynamic collaboration with Willie K, Eric Gilliom and other stellar musicians.

Sounds of the original Santana music will echo through the Crater with "Black Magic Woman", "Oye Como Va" and all other favorites from that eraperformed by Santana's original lead singer, Gregg Rolie. Also the former lead singer in Journey, Rolie is an inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Hawaii's own Yvonne Elliman of Jesus Christ Superstar fame, who toured
with Eric Clapton and who had the huge hit single, "If I Can't Have You" from Saturday Night Fever will be returning to perform for Crater audiences.

According to producer Ron Gibson of GM Entertainment, "All of us associated with the Diamond Head Crater Celebration are thrilled with the dynamic lineup this year. In addition to presenting one of Hawaii's favorite bands, Earth, Wind and Fire, we're honored to offer the world premiere of Mick Fleetwood's collaboration with our outstanding Hawaii artists. This is exactly what our vision of this event has always been. Inviting alumni also is part of our goal, which we have achieved this year by having MickFleetwood back since he performed with Fleetwood Mac in the mid-1970's. Two-time Crater alum Greg Rolie performed as the lead singer of Santana in the early 1970's and was the co-founder and lead singer of Journey, which also performed at a Crater Festival. And our local diva, Yvonne Elliman, will make her third appearance at the May 19th event.

There also will be an arts and crafts fair in the Crater. In addition, there will be an extensive food court with an array of Hawaii Regional Cuisine establishments, farm fresh made-to-order foods, ethnic restaurant offerings and a rainbow of beverages, including beers and wines, soft drinks and smoothies, coffee beverages and bottled waters to complement the food andfestivities.

Tickets are available at http://www.ticketmaster.com, by phone toll-free at 877-750-4400, or at the Blaisdell Arena Box Office. All applicable service charges apply. Reserved seating ($135, $150 and $175) and general admission ($125, with low-back beach chairs permitted) will be available.

All tickets include reserved parking at convenient auxiliary lots and roundtrip shuttle into the Crater in order to minimize the environmental impact on the Crater and surrounding neighborhoods. No walk-ins will be allowed at the event.

"This remains a rare opportunity for 7500 lucky ticket buyers to be at a historic event in the Diamond Head Crater. We will present six hours of music, and will give an unforgettable experience that incorporates Hawaii's heritage with earlier Crater celebration alumni performers to give an unbeatable experience," said Gibson.

Gibson worked many years to obtain the permit to create the high-profile event to showcase Hawaiian culture and Hawaii's artists alongside many of the world's greatest performers. The 2006 celebration drew from the resident and visitor populations, attracted neighbor islanders, and captured media attention around the globe, including newspapers in Russia, China and Japan.

Major sponsors for the 2007 event include Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii and Hawaiian Airlines, with special funding from the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Additional sponsors include Times Supermarkets, Miller Lite, Servco Lexus, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Hawaii, The Honolulu Advertiser and Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays.
