Anacostia High School and St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School in Washington, D.C. recognize the value of capturing significant moments in a students life.

Ace Video Services, located in Fairfax, VA will now be able to provide videography services for a greater number of schools in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The reason for the expansion of efforts as explained by the company director, Ms. Gail Shanta is due to the overwhelming level of requests by schools throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C for videography services. "Those at the schools we assist, seem to be very pleased with the results and have indicated that the students, faculty and parents cherish the finished product." Gail Shanta, President accommodates the schools that request videography services by offering various methods by which they (Ace Video Services) can assist. Some schools, such as Anacostia High School hire Ace Video Services for one specific event per year, such as graduation. Anacostia High School provides a copy of the graduation DVD to each and every graduating senior. Other schools such as St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School, hire Ace Video to cover many of their school events, and will order a specific amount based on the parents or students desire to have a copy.

Jimmy D'Andrea is the Academy Coordinator at Anacostia High School. He believes that it is very important for his students to have the graduation ceremony covered by a videographer. Jimmy D'Andrea states, "Graduation is such an important moment in student's life. It is a significant achievement. At Anacostia (High School) we want to do everything we can to emphasize this." The students at this Washington D.C. high school conduct fundraisers throughout the year, so that every graduating senior is able to receive a DVD of the graduation ceremony. Jimmy continued to state that both "students and parents have been very satisfied and feel this (videography of events) is very valuable in demonstrating school pride." Liz Ehinger of the Development Office at St. Patricks Episcopal Day School believes having a videographer at functions ranging from a student dance recital to graduation ceremonies is both practical and a nice touch for the school, the parents and the students. "Having a videographer at our school functions is helpful to the parents. The parents can be assured that they will receive a professional quality DVD of their child's participation in everything from our Kindergarten Circus to the upper school musical. This lets parents sit back and enjoy the show. And many of them get DVDs for grandparents so they can be more in touch with their grandchildren's lives."

Liz feels that the price is modest. They are able to hire Ace Video Services for events where as few as 25 or 30 copies of the DVD's are produced. The school's arrangement with Ace Video Services allows them to hire the company for events where as few as 25 or 30 copies of the DVD's are produced. Liz continued to state, "We weren't sure this was possible, but it is with this (Ace Video Services) company. We plan for the entire school year at once and I don't have to worry about coverage. Plus, in the three years we've used them, we have had nothing but compliments in regard to their work."
