Invensys Validation Technologies, a unit of Invensys Process Systems, has announced the appointment of three senior experts and the opening of a new office, as part of an operations expansion to serve pharmaceutical and life sciences companies in the Americas. The Invensys Validation Technologies (http://www.invensys.com/pharma) unit provides services for risk management and compliance for regulated industries, as well as validation, consulting, and project management services that are vendor and platform independent.
A new office in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina area has been established to serve pharmaceutical, biotechnology and corporate customers throughout the South East United States region. The office will be headed by Shelley Preslar, a validation and project management veteran with extensive consulting, account management and operations experience. Ms. Preslar joins Invensys from a consulting and contract manufacturing firm. As Invensys Validations Technologies' Director of Operations for the South East Region, Ms. Preslar's responsibilities include regional business development and managing planned staff growth. Having a deep background in pharmaceutical, biotechnical, OTC, API, and cosmetic environments, Ms. Preslar is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
The North East regional operation of Invensys Validation Technologies is expanding with the addition of Janice Brousseau, another industry veteran experienced in regulatory audit, manufacturing technologies, process automation, project management and validation for companies such as Genzyme and Lonza Biologics. She is an expert in validation for manufacturing and process automation systems. As Director of Business Development, Ms. Brousseau is responsible for new business and account service for the rapidly growing New England pharmaceutical and biotechnology environment. Certified in Client Server Technology and Biotechnology Sciences, Ms. Brousseau will also support the Invensys Validation Technologies sales team in the areas of distributed control systems (DCS) and business systems validation.
The Puerto Rico regional office of Invensys Validation Technologies has grown with the appointment of Eddie Nieves as Director of Operations and Business Development. Based in Hato Rey, San Juan, Mr. Nieves is responsible for staff expansion and development, and account development and service, to meet business growth needs for Puerto Rico and the region. Mr. Nieves is an expert in validation, quality assurance, technical services and pharmaceutical research and development. His experience covers bulk plants, single dosage plants, diagnostic products and parenterals (injection) products for a range of generics and brand name manufacturers. Mr. Nieves is a graduate of Inter American University, San German, and is in the MBA program at Metropolitan University, Aguadilla, both in Puerto Rico.
These appointments expand the global capability of Invensys Validation Technologies to deliver complete validation services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, and build on its experience and knowledge of processes and the regulatory compliance environment through the entire supply chain. Services and methodologies encompass manufacturing equipment and machinery, process control, cleaning control, automation, manufacturing execution systems, and information technology.
