Offering handmade soaps, skin moisturizers, massage oils and exfoliating products, customers of the private label program leverage Woodland Soapworks' knowledge of ingredients, scent combinations and production methods to create their own specific product line.
Melissa DePasquale created Woodland Soapworks in 2000 to fill a void in the skin care industry. She found detergent based, store bought products to be drying and even damaging to the skin while handmade alternatives were typically produced by small crafts persons with inconsistent levels of quality, inventory and selection.
She explains, "I wanted to focus on providing a quality, consistent product for my customers. If it was something I wouldn't use myself, I wasn't going to put it on the market." DePasquale launched the Woodland Soapworks product line using knowledge of natural elements passed down to her from her father. "Defining new products is a creative process as much as a technical one and I am excited to work with my customers to characterize their own exclusive products through the private label program", she adds.
Woodland Soapworks guarantees the private label customer exclusivity of product along with options for labeling and package design. "By guaranteeing exclusivity, the private label strategy gives our customers the capability to launch their own unique brand offerings", adds DePasquale.
Wholesale and volume discounts of existing lines are also offered through the company by becoming a registered retailer of Woodland Soapworks products.
