St. Baldricks and Fadó Irish Pub and Restaurant Shave Way to $525,000 for Children's Cancer During St. Patrick's Day Season
Fadó Irish Pub and Restaurant played host to one of the nation's leading children cancer charities, the St. Baldrick's Foundation, during special events over the St. Patrick's Day season. The events, organized by local affiliates of the St.Baldricks Foundation, raised over $525,000 during 'shavee' events at 7 of its 12 Irish Pub locations.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 9, 2007 -- Fadó Irish Pub and Restaurant played host to one of the nation's leading children cancer charities, the St. Baldrick's Foundation, during special events over the St. Patrick's Day season. The events, organized by local affiliates of the St.Baldricks Foundation, raised over $525,000 during 'shavee' events at 7 of its 12 Irish Pub locations.
The events, where volunteers raise money to have their heads shaved bald, took place March 15th - March 17th and included over 300 friends of Fadó. All proceeds go to the St. Baldrick's Foundation- a non profit organization that raises money for children's cancer research.

The Baldricks event at the Fadó Chicago on March 16th was the top event in the company with 125 participants raising $250,000. The Fadó Chicago shaving session was one of the top 5 events in the entire U.S.
A number of Fadó management and staff went under the shears this year. McGill said," We don't take ourselves too seriously. A bald head is just another way our teams can continue that fine Fadó tradition."

St. Baldrick's is a head-shaving event to raise money for childhood cancer research. Each "shavee" collects donations from friends and families to support the cause. They attend an event in their area, where they are shorn along with other shavees.
