New Business Model for the Online Video Playground

Conceptbakery introduces moviebakery: A new business model will offer advertisers an attractive way to use videos on the Internet for their purposes. Moviebakery is not just another web-video-contest platform: It is a new approach for the production and distribution of web videos.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 7, 2007 -- Short videos on the web are becoming ever more popular. A recent study confirmed that online videos are even more effective than classic TV ads. So it shouldn't come as a big surprise that more and more companies are looking at this channel to get their messages across.

The German-American marketing agency conceptbakery -- specializing in non-traditional ways of marketing -- took the initiative and launched a new website named moviebakery. A new business model will offer advertisers -- no matter their size -- an attractive way to use videos on the Internet for their purposes. The company won't release too many details before the launch of the service in a couple of weeks.

Currently, the web site moviebakery.com is running a web video contest dealing with the global warming issue. The non-profit contest is financed 100% by conceptbakery. The objective is to stir up the global warming debate with provocative, funny or unorthodox videos that will trigger discussions and viral distribution of the entries. The contest is not only directed to seasoned web video makers but to amateur video makers as well. The winners will receive cash prizes and will benefit from the attention for the project. The winners will be featured on various online channels such as the Magazine Page, the Kreativ-Community and the Internet TV-Station idee07.tv.

At the next stage conceptbakery will continue to support various non-profit projects. The actual video service will also be launched.

"It won't be another web-video-contest platform but will introduce a new approach for the production and distribution of web videos," states Felix Holzapfel, Managing Partner of conceptbakery Germany. "We already created a pool of creative talent and clients for the launch. Of course we are always welcoming more movie makers and companies that are interested in commercial web videos."

Movie makers can join a talent search Email list directly at www.moviebakery.com and will be receiving detailed information about the moviebakery platform in due time. Conceptbakery believes in every "webbie" having some creative potential and being able to tap into it.

"It is no surprise to us that some of the most popular content at YouTube or the likes web is produced by outsiders -- not Hollywood professionals or marketing experts but by average Internet users taking the initiative" says Klaus Holzapfel, Managing Partner of conceptbakery USA. "Therefore we don't necessarily require a film school degree from our movie makers, but a high level of creativity and an ability to transform ideas into visual content".

Interested companies are invited to contact conceptbakery directly in order to learn more about the moviebakery model.

Further information is available at www.moviebakery.com and www.conceptbakery.com.
