Chatsby Films The multi award-winning production company with offices in NYC, Westchester and Paris France has been expanding into many areas recently and the broad range of company business is a catalyst for a company rebranding. The company comprised of Chatsby Films, Chatsby Media, Chatsby Kids, Evil Twins, WM Film Partners is a symbiotic group each with it's own with distinct focus. Sharing the same principals and management structure the umbrella for the team will be The Chatsby Group.

In recent times the company has been expanding into many areas. A collaborative environment and creative projects have always been the life blood of the company and those interests have created a broad and diverse range of material. From award winning children's programming, direct to home DVDs for Sesame St. and Corporate work, to feature Documentary and Horror, the company has followed it's heart before it's pocketbook.

The company decided that a clarity in the different focus will also help continue to further establish this boutique company.

Adam Matalon president of the company offered this comment. "I have realised in recent times that the growth of our independant feature film projects and the sheer diversity of the things we are involved in, is something that occasionally works against us. For example our corporate clients see us working on a horror feature and just don't get it." Kevin Burke who is not only VP of the company but an award winning cinematographer added "From our perspective, one of the value addeds for our corporate clients has always been that the same creative teams are not only producing and developing film projects but creating our award winning branding materials. But, given that most companies do either one thing or another we want to make the separation and our commitment and focus on both, tangible."

The company is presently receiving distribution offers on it's new feature Death On Demand, and has just won a Telly Award for it's recent solar power project for Johnson & Johnson: A community project about sustainable energy that Chatsby Films conceived wrote and produced for the multi-national household name is being distributed both internally at Johnson & Johnson and to 5th-8th graders.

Sarah Matalon, who is Adam's sibling, is managing partner of the Paris office, and has been in the US office recently working on marketing materials for 'Death On Demand.' "I wanted to clarify that the 'films' part of our name does not detract from the fact that we are also an all inclusive marketing and branding company and that our corporate service basket includes many of the services that are normally associated with full advertising agency service. Design, Concept Creation, Marketing and Branding are an integral part of what we do, not only for clients but for ourselves as we launch creative product into the market." Burke quipped" We realised that like the proverbial shoeless cobbler, we needed to give ourselves a little love."

Helping in the rebranding and growth of the company are two new "old hands" Victoria Bert and Rosario Roveto Jr.

Victoria Bert who was VP of Development for Al Roker Entertainment prior to becoming Executive Producer for Dogmatic Inc. has her feet clearly in both the creative and corporate world and is working to develop new creative projects across both markets with a focus on Internet & broadband delivery.

"My previous exeriences have been with companies who have had either one focus or another." Said Bert. "I am excited about the possibilities for the Chatsby Group as they are bringing expertise to multiple areas in the entertainment and marketing space."

"We are clearly focussed on the delivery methods of tomorrow." said Roveto. "That is clearly not just TV advertising. We are developing branded entertainment concepts, pitching to both advertising agencies and major corporations."

Rosario Roveto Jr. a director and producer in his own right is also a veteran 1st AD on numerous TV shows including Whoopie & Hope and Faith. He is currently 1ST Assistant Director for the George Lopez Show. His film A Wake In Providence is currently on DVD release having played a succesful small theatrical release.

Matalon was confident in his statement "The lines between entertainment and marketing are blurring rapidly. Everyone's getting the point and realising that the future is here. The courageous companies are already embracing it and we are here to help get those more retiscent companies to take the plunge."
