Billboard Launches in Russia, Building on Blueprint of Turkey Edition

Billboard continues international expansion with launch in Russia--On sale April 20, 2007.

Billboard magazine--the world's most trusted source of music, video and digital entertainment news, charts, reviews and analysis--expands its global franchise with the launch of Billboard Russia on-sale on April 20, 2007. Billboard Russia debuts on the heels of the magazine's recent brand extension into Turkey. Billboard Russia and Billboard Turkey are both consumer magazines covering new bands, CD releases, concerts, artist profiles and more as well as the coveted Billboard charts. Billboard magazine is published by Nielsen Business Media.

Billboard Russia will be published through a licensing agreement with C-Media Publishing House, which publishes four other lifestyle and celebrity titles. Produced monthly with an initial circulation of 25,000, the new title will carry 120 editorial pages, including 32 shared pages of Billboard USA content and an average of 18 pages of the coveted Billboard charts.

Since it launched in November, Billboard Turkey has more than doubled its circulation to 26,000--almost three times the size of Rolling Stone magazine in Turkey. Major brands such as Smirnoff, Adidas, Levi's, Nokia, Apple and Samsung are among the magazine's advertisers and momentum continues to build. Billboard Turkey is published in partnership with the Doğuş Group and VY Media, which produces local airplay charts for Turkey with Nielsen Music Control.

Billboard plans to continue its international expansion with print, mobile and web offerings in Europe, Asia and South America.
