Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) April 12, 2007
It took Sutter Health Support Service's (SHSS) Chargemaster Team only two weeks to successfully coordinate and electronically apply regulatory year-end updates to the SHSS charge master module. Helping Sutter Health and its affiliated hospitals succeed was Craneware's Chargemaster Corporate Toolkit™, a version of the company's Chargemaster Toolkit™ that is scaled to manage multiple CDMs.
"In the past it took a month to query the data from multiple regulatory sources identifying changes and manually applying the updates," explained Cathy Meeter, Sutter Health Support Service's Chargemaster Director. "This time we completed our review process utilizing the Craneware product and distributed the information to our 26 affiliates by the first week of December."
Sutter needed such scalability: with over 12,000 lines, Sutter Health Support Service's CDM module maps to every active charge item used in all of the 26 hospitals in the system. Those hospitals cover a broad range of bed sizes and patient services. The SHSS Chargemaster Team also relied on Craneware's Online Reference Toolkit™ to easily and efficiently research coding and OPPS questions resulting in a remarkable team effort that efficiently and accurately updated the SHSS CDM module.
"We are very pleased that such a prestigious healthcare organization has chosen our software to manage their multiple CDMs," remarked Jim Wilson, Executive Vice President for Craneware. "Our clients have made our Chargemaster Toolkit the number one ranked software in the KLAS revenue-management category. We look forward to helping Sutter Health achieve even more results in the next phase."
