Online marketing leader Oneupweb's President, Lisa Wehr, today announced that the company was presented two Silver ADDY Awards at the 6th District American Advertising Federation competition in Southfield, MI. Winners will now advance to the AAF National ADDY competition to be held in June in Louisville, KY.
The 6th District is one of 15 that make up the American Advertising Federation (AAF). It is comprised of over 6,000 members in 17 clubs and non-affiliated organizations in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
Both winning entries were in the Self-Promotion Category and include Oneupweb's IOM corporate brochure and Case Study Book. The competition was restricted to work produced and used in 2006.
"We are pleased to have been so successful competing with some of the nation's top creative talent including agencies and design firms from cities such as Detroit and Chicago," says Wehr. "It just shows you what a good team in the right environment can accomplish."
The ADDYs are the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY Awards is the first in a three-tiered, national competition. As the second tier, local winners compete against other winners in one of 15 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY Awards competition.
This is the third set of creative honors awarded to Oneupweb in 2007. Prior to being presented with three Gold and two Silver ADDY Awards at the local level, Oneupweb won a national Gold Davey Award in January for its corporate brochure.
