Leopardo Construction Completes 11,000-SF Emergency Department Expansion at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago
Leopardo Construction recently completed the $6.9 million, 11,000-square-foot emergency department expansion at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 12, 2007 -- Leopardo Construction, a leading construction services firm, recently completed the 11,000-square-foot emergency department expansion at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
Located at 2739 W. Foster Ave., the expanded and renovated department includes an enhanced visitor lounge, 10 new examination rooms, enlarged patient triage area, home décor, an air treatment system and separate entrances for ambulances and pedestrians to facilitate traffic flow. The $6.9 million project was completed in March 2007.
Additional amenities include increased exam room and waiting area sizes, additional ambulance bays, dedicated equipment and supply areas in immediate proximity to patient care, expanded security services for monitoring and improving patient safety, and new emergency power generation capability for infrastructure and critical patient monitoring.
The project team included Leopardo Construction as general contractor and Anderson Mikos Architects as project architect.
