SecurePATH™ Offers Seamless, Transparent Data Encryption

SecurePath, Inc., a leading security company specializing in simplified, state-of-the-art security solutions for business critical applications, has introduced SecurePATH™, a patent-pending self-service tool designed to meet large file-encryption needs.

Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) April 13, 2007 -- SecurePath, Inc., a leading security company specializing in simplified, state-of-the-art security solutions for business critical applications, has introduced SecurePATH™, a patent-pending self-service tool designed to meet large file-encryption needs.

"We are pleased to add SecurePATH to our growing selection of IT compliance products," said Philip de Souza, Chief Executive Officer of SecurePath. "With security an ongoing concern for any company that relies on IT communication, this revolutionary new tool demonstrates our commitment to identifying customers' business needs, and helping them to deliver their services safely and smoothly."

SecurePATH is the only service of its kind that does not require recipients to load any software on their systems to decrypt. Designed to run on top of PGP Command Line, the service allows the sender of a large file to upload the file to a secure web page and specify the recipient within a web GUI. SecurePATH then automatically queues the job and encrypts the data using a PGP Command Line Self Decrypting Archive (SDA). SDAs are especially useful when the user must send an encrypted file to a recipient who does not have PGP software installed. Customers can download files using their web browser, and data at rest is encrypted as well.

Following encryption, the recipient can retrieve the file through a secure web interface. The management of user accounts to the web site is automatic in nature and the encrypted files are automatically expired. When added to the protections already offered by PGP, SecurePATH provides the ultimate in security.

In addition to seamless uploads and a notification to recipients, SecurePATH contains several important management and security features that are customizable for ease of use and to meet security and compliance requirements. These include User authentication via Active Directory/LDAP, Admin tools for password strength or pass phrase complexity as well as managed domains and users, logging and reporting tools, FTP support, File types/extension control and Secure Web Interface (SSL) for upload and download.

"We're very proud of what SecurePATH can provide to our clients," said de Souza. "Its depth of functionality and intuitive workflow are unrivaled by anything on the market today."

SecurePath, Inc. is an innovative security company dedicated to simplifying and securing online communications. Formed by leaders in the Security and Computer Consulting industries, the company is applying its patent-pending technology to simplifying security for small, mid-sized and large companies.
