Dayport, a leading provider of Content Management and Content Delivery solutions for all digital media platforms, has secured an order from Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. to provide the Dayport PUBLISH solution to all the stations within the group.
The PUBLISH solution has been in use at two of the Hubbard Broadcasting stations -- 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, KSTP-TV,LLC and KAAL -- for the past 4 years and will be re-launched in conjunction with the roll-out in April/May to the other stations within the group. Each of the stations will utilize Dayport's technology and have the unique ability to allow the content creator to manage content and control the consumer experience. Each of the new sites will use a Dayport created flash embedded viewer on the homepage with slide show type of navigation.
The Dayport PUBLISH solution will be used by each of the stations within the Hubbard organization to automate the ingest of news content and metadata for onwards publication to their existing websites via a system that is seamlessly integrated with their existing news production platforms.
According to the company, the Dayport solutions are completely scaleable and can be easily expanded to accommodate the increasing demand for video and information on the expanding range of consumer devices and video platforms. The PUBLISH solution is integrated with the existing operational workflow and allows the Hubbard stations to take advantage of further opportunities to provide local news content to a wider audience.
"The technology Dayport provides our stations is essential in order to bring our viewers the online content on demand when they visit our websites. By utilizing Publish, it also allows us to extend viewer reach and increase our revenue potential," said Bill Langley, Hubbard Broadcasting's IS director. "The continued quality of service and the technological advances Dayport has made since first coming on board four years ago are significant and we look forward to a continued partnership."
