Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) April 17, 2007
ATP, a leading manufacturer of flash digital media solutions, today unveiled its newest USB flash drive, the Nano Vision, at the RetailVision event in Nashville, TN. The Nano Vision utilizes the latest in advanced, manufacturing technology, resulting in the world's smallest high capacity USB drive. Measuring at only 1.4" in length with a robust, metallic housing, the Nano Vision provides maximum portability and ease of use for convenient personal storage and data transfer. The Nano Vision joins an award winning lineup of ATP flash drives including the rugged USB Toughdrive and ultra stylish USB Petito. In addition to the Nano Vision, ATP will also be exhibiting the newest in its award winning flash memory lineup, including the 8GB SD High Capacity (SDHC) Class 6 cards and the 2GB SD Trio Professional Plus, at its Retailvision booth (#225) from April 16-19.
The Nano Vision is designed specifically for the harsh everyday abuse that a keychain accessory would endure. Constructed using ATP's SIP (System in Package) manufacturing technology, all internal electronic components are completely encased in a solid molding which acts like a protective shell. This allows the Nano Vision to be completely waterproof, dust proof and extreme temperature resistant. On top of this protective layer, there is a metal housing designed for both functionality and protection. This metal housing itself is used as a USB connector which also serves as additional protection against physical abuse. A scratch resistant sleeve is also attached and included with the Nano Vision, making it sleek and ergonomically shaped.
"The Nano Vision USB drive series encompasses the latest in ATP's years of dedicated research and development, engineering electronic devices down to the microscopic level," said Michael Plaksin, ATP Vice President of Flash Media Sales. "We are pleased to implement this revolutionary technology in a product for the everyday consumer, allowing for vast amounts of personal data storage in a cost effective device smaller than most typical keychain accessories."
Just like the rest of the ATP USB flash drive lineup, the Nano Vision is enhanced for the Windows ReadyBoost which increases system performance in Windows Vista PCs. The Nano Vision USB series will be available in May 2007 with capacities of up to 2GB. The 4GB will be widely available by June, 2007.
