On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007, in an unprecedented event, Shelly Saltman will make himself available to the public via a world-wide teleconference call, sharing stories from his amazing 50-year career, including his fateful encounter with Evel Knievel, where Shelly was brutally assaulted with a baseball bat by the daredevil. This story and others are described in Shelly's recently released book "Fear No Evel".
Shelly Saltman has been one of the world's best-loved promoters in entertainment, sports and business. He has been involved in the famous Ali-Frazier fights, the careers of entertainers Andy Williams and Donny & Marie Osmond, helped launch the Phoenix Suns basketball team, petitioned the Olympic Committee to allow women to compete in Marathon races, and most recently helped to create the Tour of California professional cycling race. Shelly has truly made his mark all over the world, and has been the go-to guy for the creation and production of some of the greatest events of the 20th century.
Interviewing Shelly will be Marty M. Fahncke, founder of Conference Call University. Questions for the interview will be submitted by the audience, which will consist of attendees from around the world accessing the event via telephone conference.
