TeamDynamix has launched an advanced version of its Web-based enterprise project software that significantly expands key capabilities - particularly in areas of reporting and community - while further simplifying navigation within a system already deeply respected for its usability.

The new version, TeamDynamix Enterprise 5.0, introduces a higher level of ease and customization in reporting, providing effortless, swift access to specific data users need to track project progress and analyze budget and profit. Users can build and save criteria for reports on the fly, using expanded filtering criteria - including customizable fields - to meet explicit analysis needs. The new software adds the convenience of Instant Messaging (IM). IM enables efficient, real-time communication between team members - putting them in a virtual office together. Users can easily see who is available for contact by clicking on the "Messenger" icon on the bottom of the navigation panel and can indicate that they are offline if privacy is required.

The new enterprise project software also adds forums, providing all users the opportunity to discuss topics and explore solutions for common problems. Users can search forums by keyword, view their threads or latest posts, etc.

TeamDynamix solutions already are well ahead of the pack for usability. But TeamDynamix Enterprise 5.0 makes it even easier to manage the most complex projects. The new version introduces a clean, ultra-friendly user interface that smoothes access to and navigation between all modules.

Increased usability begins with the newly designed navigation bar on the left side of the screen. Rather than having to open each module within the navigation bar - and then scroll down a long list of functions - the user simply clicks on the main module link. That module's desktop, and all tools it offers, immediately appear in the top half of the navigation bar. All other modules remain plainly visible in the bottom half of the navigation bar without scrolling.

Additionally, seven key tools now appear as icons in a row along the bottom of the navigation bar. The icons give users one-click access to IM, email, the user's time record, calendar, contacts, pending file approvals and the user's desktop.

The Navigation Bar also includes a new link: News. The link provides immediate access to media of choice - including RSS feeds.

A new "drag and drop" design further enhances the new software's usability. With a click and a move of the mouse, users can easily customize their desktops, move folders, reposition calendar events, and perform other organizational tasks. For further ease of use, all forms within modules feature asterisks to denote required fields.
