One of the keynote sessions at the 2007 Software Marketing Perspectives Conference & Expo will provide tips and strategies to help attendees become less inward-focused and more market-focused. Stacey Mentzel, director of product management at Business Objects, will highlight one company's experience in changing product management for the better.

Internal issues in an organization tend to hinder employees from looking beyond the organization to increase contact with customers and potential customers. Stacey Mentzel, director of product management at Business Objects, plans to change that in her keynote session at the Software Marketing Perspectives Conference & Expo to be held in Boston May 23-25, 2007.

Mentzel's session will highlight one company's experience in changing product management from an inward focus to a market focus. She will also provide tips and experiences to help companies formulate their own plan for becoming "laser-focused" on the markets they serve.

"By using many methods and events, a company can build momentum that drives them toward market focus," Mentzel says. "This will increase customer satisfaction, sales, profits, and job satisfaction."

The session will not only help attendees understand the value and benefit of becoming market-focused, but it will also provide strategies they can take back to their respective offices and put into practice right away.
