For the past ten years Stefanie Michaels (a.k.a. Adventure Girl) has been making a name for herself inspiring others to step out of their comfort zone and enter the world of adventure travel. The Los Angeles, CA-based wife and former model has ventured on such globe-trotting excursions as swimming with Dolphins in Paradise Island, trekking to a Mayan Ruin in Belize, getting up close and personal with Reef Sharks in the Caribbean, and participating in the Iditarod dog sled race in Alaska. Michaels, who was recently named Senior Travel Editor with Affluent magazine, has been bringing these experiences to scores of fans through her Web site, http://www.AdventureGirl.com. In fall of 2006, Michaels' first book, Adventure Girls Guide to Finding Adventure…without breaking a nail!, was released, and upcoming books -- Celebrity Travel Adventures and Adventure Girl's Guide to Finding Spas -- are in the works.
On Monday, April 23, Michaels will join Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Actor John Cusack, Lifestyle Aficionado Robin Leach, and a number of Vegas notables, when she participates in one of the inaugural flights of ZERO-G in Las Vegas, NV. The Las Vegas-based Zero Gravity Corporation (ZERO-G) is the first and only FAA-approved provider of commercial weightless flights, and offers the only opportunity on Earth for individuals to experience true "weightlessness" without going to space. This is the identical weightless flight experience used by NASA to train its astronauts and used by Ron Howard and Tom Hanks to film Apollo-13. When experiencing zero gravity, guests can fly like Superman, flip like an Olympic gymnast and enjoy 10-times more hang-time than the world's best basketball player.
In conjunction with this exciting event, we would like to suggest an interview with Stefanie Michaels, who can bring a piece of this adventure to your audience. She can also share how everyone, whether flying on ZERO-G or not, can add adventure to their everyday life. Stefanie is available from Las Vegas Sunday and Monday, April 22 and 23, and from Los Angeles the rest of the week. Broadcast quality footage of this and other adventures is also also available.
