Planview and Fujitsu announced an agreement to provide combined software and service offerings that will improve the way agencies meet demands of CPIC, EVMS, FEA and OMB Exhibit 300 processes.

We believe the Planview-Fujitsu combination will greatly improve the ability of our customers to manage their IT and show value.

Planview, the largest independent provider of portfolio management solutions, today announced that it is teaming with Fujitsu Consulting to provide comprehensive IT portfolio management solutions to federal agencies.

The combined efforts will assist federal agencies by offering a full end-to-end portfolio management solution to meet the demands of CPIC, EVMS, EA and OMB Exhibit 300 processes. Until now, many federal agencies have implemented only partial IT portfolio management frameworks such as an OMB 300 reporting solution that lacks the ability to truly enable a PMO, or stand-alone project management tools that fail to meet the EV reporting requirements as mandated by OMB.

The Planview-Fujitsu alliance delivers an end-to-end portfolio management solution that will enable agencies to:

  • Align investments to business strategies
  • Create, manage and update OMB 300 submissions
  • Manage programs, projects, systems and resources (agency and contractor)
  • Maintain earned value management (EV) metrics
  • Ensure alignment to federal Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards
  • Meet internal and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Enable their Program-Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to more effectively manage large, complex, at-risk initiatives.

Fujitsu was one of the first companies to deliver portfolio management services in the federal market. The new relationship with Planview brings more than 40 years of combined portfolio management experience to federal agencies in the U.S.

"By teaming with Planview, Fujitsu adds a new level of accessibility and usability to the services that we have provided to federal agencies for more than 20 years," said Jim Bradbury, vice president of Fujitsu's value management practice. "We believe the Planview-Fujitsu combination will greatly improve the ability of our customers to manage their IT and show value."

Planview Enterprise brings the portfolio management discipline to all aspects of the IT investment lifecycle, combining adaptive IT management best practices and implementation methodology with best of breed resource management, demand management and financial management processes.

"Fujitsu brings a vast wealth of knowledge and maturity to the delivery of portfolio management services," said Mark Homrich, Planview vice president of business development, federal solutions. "Their position as a long-standing trusted advisor in the federal IT community is a perfect match to Planview Enterprise, which is used today by hundreds of Global 2000 companies to make better decisions about their IT investments."
