Everest Poker http://www.everestpoker.com today announced that it had begun a series of satellite and direct entry online poker tournaments for seats at the World Series of Poker Main Event, to be held in the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, 6-17 July, 2007.

"This is one of our favorite events at Everest Poker," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "The World Series of Poker Main Event is not only prestigious, but it offers unparalleled excitement for the players and fans."

Starting 18 April, Everest Poker is hosting a series of daily satellite tournaments that give players the opportunity to earn a seat at the biweekly Direct Entry events. Buy-in for the daily satellites is $11+1 and the buy-in for the direct entry online poker tournaments is $100+9. More information about this tournament's structure, including terms and conditions as well as information about daily rebuys, is available at http://www.everestpoker.com/en/tournament/live.html.

"We're very eager to see how our players perform against the biggest names in the game," added May. "One of the reasons we run daily satellites is to give people with smaller bankrolls the chance to play against the pros and maybe even walk away with one of those bracelets.."
