We're looking for someone prepared to live the dream and who's not afraid of any challenge we can put before them. It really is a unique role.

While Sir Alan Sugar searches for the best business brains in the country, the UK's largest health, fitness and lifestyle website is looking for a different type of company director.
The lucky applicant will test the hi-octane, extreme sports and adventures featured on http://www.realbuzz.com and report back to the hundreds of thousands of realbuzz regulars through exclusive blogs, podcasts and vodcasts.
realbuzz.com's new Director of Adventure won't need a Blackberry, a smart suit or for that matter a desk - just a taste for adrenaline-rushing extreme sports and nerves of steel.
The website, official online partner to the Flora London Marathon, has launched an "Apprentice" style search to make sure it gets the right man or woman for the all-action role.
It will be a thrill-a-minute job - and the winner will get 12 months pay for a role which knows no bounds. It's no nine-to-five role - the Director of Adventure's job will see them ice- climbing, snowboarding, body boarding and scuba diving.
realbuzz.com is aiming to draw up a shortlist of hopefuls from across the country. They'll then have an interview with a difference - it will include a series of outdoor tests and challenges to prove they are up to the job.
Site founder Tim Rogers knows a thing or to about adventure as he has run marathons on all continents of the globe and holds the record for the tallest costume in a marathon.
Tim said: "We're looking for someone with a real taste for adventure to be our official face and represent what we are all about - fitness, fun and adventure.
"This isn't a task for the faint-hearted. The Director of Adventure we chose will have to live the dream, testing out the exciting range of activities we highlight on the site.
"They'll then have to report on the experience though our podcasts and vodcasts and will keep a blog so everyone can share in the adventure. We want them to let people know what's out there, so they too can have an action packed life.
"It's not just a question of experiencing the thrills, we need them to convey what they have done and felt to our site users, to get them fired up to have a go too.
"We're looking for someone prepared to live the dream and who's not afraid of any challenge we can put before them. It really is a unique role."
Adventure junkies interested in applying should send in their pictures, plus a CV of their sporting and high-excitement achievements and 250 words on why they should be chosen. The deadline for applicants is May 30. They can be posted onto the website.
