GK Elite, the most recognized manufacturer of gymnastics apparel in the world, announces an athlete representation agreement with seventeen-year old American gymnast Jana Bieger.
This agreement is designed to help Bieger develop her talent as she looks to become one of the most successful gymnasts in history.
The prolific gymnast won three medals at the 2006 World Championships including a silver medal in the prestigious All-Around competition. Bieger trains at her family's gym, Bieger International Gymnastics in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Bieger is represented by David Arluck, President and CEO of Arluck Promotions LLC.
"The 2006 season was a spectacular year for me," said Bieger. "I value the relationship and support from GK Elite as I continue to train for the 2008 Olympics."
"GK has been outfitting top athletes since 1989," said GK Elite President and Founder Sallie Weaver. "Jana is certainly one of the most recognized and one of the most promising athletes on the U.S. Women's team today. She brings with her recognition and repute."
Bieger will be graduating high school in 2007 and will attend community college near her home in Coconut Creek, FL as she prepares for the Olympics in 2008. Bieger's next competition will be the American Cup to be held in Jacksonville, Florida on March 2-3.
In addition to her three medal performances at the World Championships in 2006, Bieger won two gold medals at the Pacific Alliance Championships in vault and floor. She also won three medals at the 2006 Cottbus Cup in Germany - gold on vault, bronze on bars and silver on beam.
Bieger's mother was a three-time Olympian for West Germany and is now Jana's coach and runs Bieger International Gymnastics.
