Industry Expert Adam Bullied discusses how to manage product planning in a fast-changing startup environment.

FeaturePlan, requirements management software for software product management, and co-sponsor of the community blog The Product Management View, today announced the next in their series of weekly webinars entitled "Startup Product Management" on April 25, 2007.

Guest speaker Adam Bullied, Product Manager, MusicIP, will examine how to use lightweight product models to build product plans on the fly, that are flexible enough to adapt to a fast-changing startup environment. He will also address milestone-based release cycles designed to get products out the door quickly, while still leaving enough room to ensure quality and effective communication. In addition, he will look into the importance of empowering startup product managers so they can build teams and buck the trend of needing to execute, but not having direct reports.

"Adam has a through-and-through knowledge of the challenges startups deal with because he's experienced it himself," says Russell Foy, VP Marketing and Sales of FeaturePlan, co-sponsor of The Product Management View. "For me, his success in the startup space makes him someone I want to listen to."

With almost ten years in the technology industry, Adam was programming professionally before he was out of high school, founding Solution Wave, a full service web solution provider, in 2000. In addition to overseeing the diverse MusicIP product line and growing the product management organization within MusicIP, Adam actively maintains his popular product management blog, Write That Down (http://www.writethatdown.com).
