The Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) granted its 2007 "Woman on the Way" award to Mary Gorski of Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Gorski, founder and president of MG Assessments http://www.mgassessments.com , received the award during NAWBO's annual awards gala held at International Market Square, Minneapolis, Thursday, April 12.

Given annually, the "Woman on the Way" award recognizes a woman who has owned her business for less than three years and is clearly on a fast track to achieving or exceeding her business goals.

Gorski founded MG Assessments in 2005. A consulting firm specializing in HR management and assessment (http://www.mgassessments.com/employeescreening.htm), MG Assessments employs simple-to-use yet comprehensive tools to help business owners and leaders evaluate their employees and sustain a motivated and productive workforce.

Besides consulting, Gorski speaks on motivating people to maximum performance and efficiency drawing upon her 15-year background in corporate human resources and her understanding of how "people talent" impacts a business and drives business results.

Gorski said she believes her secret to success isn't really a secret at all. "Just live and work with your core values in mind,' she said, when asked to give advice to other women business owners. She exceeded her projections for revenue and growth with hard work and a commitment to her goals and core brand values, performance, innovation, relationships and simplicity, she said.

She also credits her ability to self-motivate. "Setting expectations just beyond my current level of achievement is just my nature, and it drives my success," she said.
