With our new Accessory Sales Tool we are helping dealers adjust the sales process to accommodate more vehicle accessory purchases so that the consumer finances accessories with the dealer, rather than putting it on a credit card at a detail shop
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2007
5square.com, which delivers Sales Process Automation software to automotive dealerships, today released a new Accessory Sales Tool that helps auto dealers increase gross profit opportunities by driving front-end accessory sales. It is built right into the overall 5square.com Web-based system and greatly expands upon the previous accessory sales functionality. Dealers using the tool are seeing results as high as a 19% increase in grosses.
The new tool speeds up the process of adding accessories. With just one click managers and customers can choose from a list of available accessories for a specific vehicle with direct links to images that enable the customer to visualize the accessory. Each accessory can be directly linked to a URL and the sales person can quickly bring up a picture and product description with all pricing information, so the customer can see exactly what they are purchasing and the value proposition.
"We became the #1 store in our zone for accessory sales with 5square.com," commented Brook Buckmaster, General Manager at San Leandro Honda in Northern California.
According to Buckmaster, his sales team uses the tool to offer accessories to every customer on every deal. The store has very effectively used the accessories links function; that allows them to link to photographs of the accessories and options, as a presentation tool during the sales process.
As well, all promotional vehicles, with graphic images, have been uploaded to a specially created 5square.com bulletin board within the accessory sales tool, for easy access by the sales people to help close the sale. As a result, grosses have improved by over 19%.
Automakers are increasingly searching for ways to allow customers to personalize their cars and trucks, transforming a niche business for aftermarket parts into a highly sort after segment. Customers are spending more money on aftermarket parts - everything from, add-on spoilers, back up alarms and Sirius Radio. U.S. sales of aftermarket parts rose 9% last year to $39 billion, according to the Specialty Equipment Aftermarket Association.
"With our new Accessory Sales Tool we are helping dealers adjust the sales process to accommodate more vehicle accessory purchases so that the consumer finances accessories with the dealer, rather than putting it on a credit card at a detail shop," commented Skip Kinford, 5square.com President.
