The new tool speeds up the process of adding accessories. With just one click managers and customers can choose from a list of available accessories for a specific vehicle with direct links to images that enable the customer to visualize the accessory. Each accessory can be directly linked to a URL and the sales person can quickly bring up a picture and product description with all pricing information, so the customer can see exactly what they are purchasing and the value proposition.

According to Buckmaster, his sales team uses the tool to offer accessories to every customer on every deal. The store has very effectively used the accessories links function; that allows them to link to photographs of the accessories and options, as a presentation tool during the sales process.

As well, all promotional vehicles, with graphic images, have been uploaded to a specially created 5square.com bulletin board within the accessory sales tool, for easy access by the sales people to help close the sale. As a result, grosses have improved by over 19%.

Automakers are increasingly searching for ways to allow customers to personalize their cars and trucks, transforming a niche business for aftermarket parts into a highly sort after segment. Customers are spending more money on aftermarket parts - everything from, add-on spoilers, back up alarms and Sirius Radio. U.S. sales of aftermarket parts rose 9% last year to $39 billion, according to the Specialty Equipment Aftermarket Association.
